How to take a photo in black and white?

Can you help me I know some good ways to take a photo soft black and white with a DSLR [EOS350D] What filters are good or Technics? please

many devices Digital has a button you can push that will make black and white – even after you have taken in color. If you have photoshop or similar program, they are also a click of a button. Usually you just go to your menu (there should be a button for it) then find where it says Color and change it to black and white or sepia or whatever option you want. I found it better to do with Photoshop Elements for then you can adjust it exactly as you want.
