A Memorial, art collector region residing in a house chic wanted his house to be more visible from the street. His court was full of trees, and he asked us to consider removing them and developing a more modern landscape that perfectly complement the exterior of his house. It was a personal friend of ours, and he understood that our policy is to preserve as many trees as possible whenever we undertake a project. However, we decided to make an exception in his case for two reasons. On the one hand, it was a close friend of many people in our society. Secondly, the large trees just would not work with a landscape reflects modern architecture, its home star.
The house had been built as the story structure that was formed around a unique blend of curves and angles reminiscent of the very reasons Geometric common in modern sculpture and art. The windows were constructed deliberately large, so that visitors driving until the house could be lit glimpse inside, where many sculptures and works of modern art have been presented. The entire residence, in fact, was intended to showcase the diversity of his eclectic artistic tastes, and provide an overview of what elegant at home.
He asked us to create more modern look to the landscape that will complement the residence with patterns in the vegetation, decoration, and a new lighted water fountain that acts as a mirror image of the house. He also wanted us to sculpt the features that we've created so to focus the viewer's eye and draw the landscape and to focus on the house itself.
The challenge was to develop design really sophisticated modern landscaping that would compliment, but not overwhelm the facade of the house. To do this, we had to focus very carefully on the geometric aspect of the planting areas first. As the surrounding vegetation would be a great circular disk stone We took advantage of the contours and creates a sense of flow perspective. Next we were very careful to plant vegetation that could be maintained at a very low height growth. This was to prevent the vegetation to act as the previous trees, which blocked the view from the house. Small hedges, ferns and flowers were planted in wavy lines that followed the course of the circular driveway stone surrounding the fountain.
Then, we focused this new landscape plan with a modern sophisticated contemporary fountain. We chose a circular shape for the fountain at the center of both eye and working as a compliment to curved elements in the exterior design of the house. We chose granite black as the material of construction, partly because granite speaks to the monumental, and partly because it is a very common material for architecture modern and contemporary sculpture outdoors. We placed the fountain in the center of the aisle as well, which was to render the entire landscape seem to converge towards the middle of the front of the house. To add a sense of eclectic elegance to the fountain, we then polished granite, that whosoever drive or walk to the fountain would be a reflection of the home in the basis. To maintain consistency of the circular radius is cut all around the cap Fountain was cut radius of polished limestone. The lighter color of the limestone has created an archetypal contrasts of light and darkness, contribute more to the theme of the modern landscape, and providing a surface for lighting if the fountain will remain an honor established in the landscape during the night.
All equipment for the fountain was hidden behind the house so it would operate silently. For lighting, we used the fiber optic cables that wrapped around the circumference of the interior of the fountain. This created the appearance of light rising in a perfect circle on black granite base and illuminated water with a sparkling effect which naturally focused the landscape and all its surrounding elements on the modern architecture of the house.
The house itself now seems almost like a gallery modern art forms with the landscaping surrounding it, it gives just enough of a natural touch to create a feeling of fluidity organic bed and with the fountain as the focal point that unites the curvature and angles in a geometric sense of unity, land, and centeredness.
